COS' online television and multimedia reader's destination site partners with Publisher's Weekly program.
Reader's Entertainment Community TV is an online reader's destination created in 2005/2006 by Circle of Seven Productions. The site offers book trailers, teasers, author interviews, news and original shows as well as podcasts and blogs.
The site is specifically targeting readers for the purpose of entertainment and delivers constant, consistent content on a weekly basis.
A few weeks ago COS entered into talks with Publisher's Weekly about their Book Life program, which brings top online reader sites together, giving advertisers a concentrated market for their ads and letting readers find each of the sites through banner ads that PW and each of the partners have up on their site.
"The first day we went live with Book Life our server crashed," Says COS webmaster Jacob Henderson. "That's been fixed and we're seeing a consistent increase in traffic."
In order to build on the new opportunity RECTV offers, COS will be adding new features this summer. This will include new original shows, news, genre stations and interactive opportunities for readers and visitors. There will be free reads and contests each week as well as forums. RECTV went live with it's partnership with Book Trailers Group social media network and now anyone can upload video, blog and otherwise connect to like-minded individuals through that portal found on the site's homepage.
"We want the site to be fun. It's that simple." Says COS CEO Sheila Clover English.
