Bookhitch.com has recently added a new feature in which authors can upload their book videos to their pages, and we encourage all of our members to take advantage of this unique marketing tool. The April 2007 Hitch News featured an article titled "Book Video - The Evolution of a Marketing Tool" written by Sheila Clover English, founder and CEO of Circle of Seven Productions, the first company to create book trailers. Sheila is one of the pioneering individuals of the book trailer market, actually trademarking the term "book trailer" in 2002. Since the subject has grown increasingly relevant to our members, we're following up that article in this month's newsletter by interviewing her about her company, book videos, and the future.

I first came across Circle of Seven Productions on YouTube. After searching for book trailers, the name CoS Productions kept appearing. Not just for one genre: for everything. After further research, I found that the owner of CoS, Sheila Clover English, had actually created the book trailer market in 2002 and trademarked the term “book trailer” in 2003.
