First, you contact us to let us know that you have chosen this product. We will send you a contract that you sign and fax and/or mail back to us with a 50% down deposit.
Once we receive the deposit and contract we ask you to send us a synopsis of your book, the back cover copy if you have it and a high resolution (300 dpi) of your book cover. The higher the resolution the better quality the video will be.
From there our Head of Production will assign a script writer who will work with you to create a script that accurately depicts your story in an exciting way. Once you have approved the script it is sent to the editor/producer that the Head of Production chose for your project. You will receive an email introducing you to the editor. At that time you may express any of your own ideas for the visuals, but remember that your editor is an expert at book video, so you may want to allow them as much creativity as possible. The editor may contact you with any questions. Once the video draft is done it will be sent to you. At that time you may request any changes. The editor will make the changes and re-submit them to you to make sure we made the changes as you envisioned. You will get one more edit if it is required.
Once you approve the video it will be sent to you in either wmv (Windows Media) or mov (Quicktime) format. It will be sent on to distribution who will upload it online.
You will receive a report from distribution so you know what’s going on with your video.
The video will be sent to booksellers and specialty sites as well. If a booksellers lets us know they are using the video we will share that information with you.
Once you have become a COS client you are put on our COS Client list and when we get any great deals or offer something we think you might be interested we will contact you.

We bid on all book trailer products. There is no set cost to them. The more you want; more actors, more sets, more locations, more special effects, the more the product will cost. But, if you only want one scene and one actor you could get a trailer for relatively little money. You should be prepared to spend over $2000 even for a short and simple production. Production means casting, insurance, equipment rental, location rental and other costs you might not even be aware of.
For something more complex with lots of actors, period piece wardrobe, special effects, celebrity appearances or to film instead of digital or HD formats you could be spending over $5000 or even $10,000, again according to the complexity of what you want.
We can also script to budget. You can give us your budget and we can write a script that will meet that budget.

The video will be sent to booksellers and specialty sites as well. If a booksellers lets us know they are using the video we will share that information with you.
